A- A A+

With so much to do on site we had no concerns about filling the time and, blessed with a week of fine weather, we spent it in style. The five of us shared a spacious caravan in which we cooked many of our meals and found plenty of time to relax.

Making our way each day along the edge of the central lake, with its ducks and its ducklings (and no shortage of quack! impressions), we arrived at the main complex where we enjoyed swimming, playing the penny arcade, or just hanging out in the bar playing pool.

This was also of course the venue for the nightly entertainments, perhaps the service user's favourite part of the holiday. We were treated to a host of shows across the week and often found ourselves returning late to the caravan after the evening's fun.

Amongst all this we made time for a trip to Berwick-upon-Tweed, took in a round of crazy golf and paid a brave visit to the interactive birds-of-prey & creepy-crawlies exhibition. The atmosphere was delightfully relaxed all week: no need for us to hurry the numerous meals out (or our Chinese takeaway) and plenty of time to put our feet up with a cup of tea when it was called for.

This definitely suited our two service users, both of whom were in their element throughout the week and clearly enjoyed the chance to spend some real quality time together.
